About BPC-157

BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic, stable fragment of 15 amino acids derived from a protein identified in gastric juice. It is among the most-studied peptides in tissue-repair and gastrointestinal research and is supplied as a lyophilized 10-vial kit.

How BPC-157 works

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15–amino-acid sequence derived from a protein identified in gastric juice. Unusually for a peptide of that size it is stable in gastric acid, which is why it is described in the literature as a stable gastric pentadecapeptide.

Published work associates it with angiogenic signalling and with growth-factor pathways in tissue-repair models — the VEGF–eNOS axis appears repeatedly. No single receptor has been established for it, which is a real gap in the literature rather than a detail we are skipping.

What the research shows

A 2025 literature review in Pharmaceuticals collects the published work; a 2019 paper in Cell and Tissue Research is representative of the tissue-healing models.

Storage & handling
